Ruffle Baby Blanket

Is your love language giving handmade gifts like it is for me?

When my sister and her husband announced they were having a baby girl, I set to work finding the perfect blanket to be her cozy companion. I wanted a pattern that was cute with pink or purple colors, but not over-the-top girly. I thought these scallops were adorable and classic. Daisy Farms Crafts had the perfect pattern!

• “Crochet Colorful Ruffle Rows Baby Blanket” by Daisy Farm Crafts

Modifications:‍ ‍

• Yarn - instead of the yarn used in the pattern (colors were sold out), I used Luxe Merino Solid Yarn by Loops & Threads in White (about 2.5 balls), and Superwash Merino Yarn by Loops and Threads in Dark Purple, Light Pink and Lavender (1 ball each). I was a bit unsure about using wool for a baby blanket, but the yarn is actually very soft!

• Edges - I used scallops for the border like Daisy Farm Crafts did in their previous, solid colored pattern “Crochet Ruffle Rows Baby Blanket”

• Size - I made my blanket a bit larger, about 30”x41". I would recommend researching your desired size prior to starting.
